Note: The process for temporary migration - working visa application is time consuming. Most employers and visa applicants will use an experienced agent. Agents are not permitted to guarantee a visa. Only the Immigration Department (DIMA) will determine if a visa is to be granted. Chefs first find an employer. The employer needs DIMA approval to sponsor the chef as a temporary business entrant for up to 4 years (refer to Employers’ Info page). The prospective recruit (chef) of an approved sponsor needs to apply for a visa.
